I'm Jeff Case, former miejets.org site admin who lived in Mie as a JET for 5 years (2006-2011), originally from Dayton, Ohio in the US.
In 2011, with a heavy heart I departed Mie and moved to Tokyo to take a full-time job as a software engineer, and worked for a Japanese tech company. Then in 2015, I relocated to my company's US office in San Francisco.
In October 2016, I migrated this wiki away from the now-defunct miejets.org domain and de-coupled it from the forum. It now lives on its own domain here at mieguidebook.org, and the code and database that power this wiki were moved off the decommissioned MieJETs web server to a server which I personally oversee. This server that will be around for many many years to come, thus ensuring the Guidebook's long term availability.
So though I am no longer actively editing content on here, I watch over this wiki from afar as I have a strong affinity for working on this Guidebook, and worked hard over time to improve it in terms of actual content, readability (formatting), ease of navigation, and appeal.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Better yet, if you have any knowledge or wisdom regarding Mie, please don't hesitate to add it to our informational library!
