There is a decent amount of places one can spend their hard-earned yen in Mie Prefecture.

This article will aim to provide a list of notable shopping destinations around the ken.

  • Apita
    6 total locations prefecture-wide
  • Tsu : Chum
    Located directly above the JR side of Tsu Station.

Upscale Department Stores

  • Suzuka : Hunter
    Near Hiratachō Station on the Kintetsu Suzuka Line.
  • Tsu : Matsubishi (松菱)
    Downtown Tsu on Route 23, near the Mie Kaikan and Tsu Central post office
  • Yokkaichi : Kintetsu Department Store (近鉄百貨店 kintetsu hyakkaten)
    Directly above Kintetsu Yokkachi Station.

  • Hisai : Yamaya
    Primarily focused on alcohol - an international selection - but dabbles in food as well. Most Yamaya's have a broad selection of food products from various cultures including (but not limited to) Chinese, German, Indian, Italian, Korean, Mexican, and Thai. You can often find a decent selection of cheeses and cured meats. Located north of Hisai Station, towards downtown Tsu.
  • Ise : Kaldi Coffee Farm
    Not just coffee but a broad selection of food as well. Predominantly focused on spices and ingredients, Kaldi Coffee Farms is a great place to go to get the basics for your dishes. Located in LaLa Park.
  • Nagoya : Costco
    Currently under construction (2013/08/30)
  • Nagoya : Meidi-ya
    One of the biggest selections in the area. You'll find a ton of spices as well as a broad assortment of goods (predominately European, but venturing into SE Asia). They also have a decent wine and liquor selection. Located in Sakae, next to Maruzen.
  • Nagoya : In the JR side of Nagoya Station, en route to the JTB Bus Terminal
    This supermarket sells a wide assortment of foreign food, including salted meats, cheeses, olives, spices, mains, alcohol, and more. More information necessary.
  • Nagoya : Tomizawa
    Tomizawa is a supermarket specializing in baking supplies.
  • Suzuka : Kaldi Coffee Farm
    Not just coffee but a broad selection of food as well. Predominantly focused on spices and ingredients, Kaldi Coffee Farms is a great place to go to get the basics for your dishes. Located in the Bell City ÆON Mall.
  • Suzuka : Brazilian Grocers
    There are also many Brazilian grocers scattered around town. These stores are often a great place to buy meat at an excellent price. Please upload any locations you frequent to this page!

You can often find a decent selection of cheeses and cured meats. Standalone shop near Ise-Matsumoto Station.
  • Yokkaichi : Gyoumu Supa
    Conveniently located next to Yamaya in Yokkaichi, this supermarket is a great place to buy produce and meat at a great price. It's part of a chain of supermarkets geared towards selling food to businesses, but of course, regular people can shop there as well. They also have a decently developed halal selection.
  • Village Vanguard
    Located in many ÆON shopping centers and tends to carry a small selection.
  • Maruyasu Supermarkets
    Tends to carry a small foreign foods selection.
