Matsusaka Park

Matsusaka Park (松阪公園 matsusaka kōen), also known as the Former Site of Matsusaka Castle (松阪城跡 matsusaka jō ato), is a park in central Matsusaka that has very nice cherry blossoms and some other things but not a castle.

  • Hanami
    A good number of sakura trees here makes it a popular spot in the area, and food stalls are present as well. The trees are lit up at night.

Directions

By Train

First get yourself to Matsusaka (松阪) Station on the Kintetsu Yamada Line and the JR Kisei Main Line. It's about 10-15 minutes from the station.

From the station's JR side, head straight out and then turn right at the second stop light. Then walk some more, and turn left at the second stop light. Walk more and you should see the park.

By Car

Downtown Matsusaka, west of the station. Right on Route 756, near the intersection with Route 757.
