Jūshi River Sakura Avenue

Jūshi River Sakura Avenue (十四川の桜並木 jūshi gawa no sakura namiki) is a lane along a small river in the Tomida area of Yokkaichi that is home to one of the most well-known hanami spots in northern Mie.

Events

  • Hanami
    One of the highest concentrations of cherry blossoms in the prefecture (over 600), that makes for a beautiful sakura tunnel along this small river.

Directions

By Train

In the immediate area around Kintetsu Tomida Station, accessible by either Kintetsu or the Sangi Railway.

Once at the station, walk out the new west exit and head immediately left walking between the train tracks and Yokkaichi High School's practice field. Walk just a few minutes and you'll be at the river.

By Car

Route 1 north of downtown Yokkaichi, right near Kintetsu Tomida Station
